Regular Community AMA with Momo Chang Successfully Wrapped Up
Dear DREP Community,
Our regular community AMA with DREP’s co-founder Momo Chang successfully wrapped up on July 12th. We extend our greatest gratitute to the community members who participated for the inspirations they sparked.
At first, Momo briefed the recent development of blockchain technology products, along with the future plans of DREP in marketing and technology development. During the Q&A session, Momo shared some more latest news of DREP and insights on the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.

Q: Hi Momo, we all know that you are in an active talk with exchange partners but let’s talk about the one that DREP already listed. In Gate, DREP is the worst performing IEO and I feel that team is really not concerned about that. I would like to hear your opinion about it.
Momo:
Thank you for always being here. Yes we can understand your feeling about DREP performance after Gate.io IEO, and we also shoulder the pressure. While what we can do now is to strive more top exchanges and strengthen token user scenarios. Pls understand that we are trying best to live up to your expectations.
Q: It’s really exciting for DREP to be listed on Binance DEX. I’m guessing the next step will be Binance, is that correct?
Momo:
Getting listed in top exchanges has been always one of our priorities. We appreciate the support of Binance team this time around and will aim for more listing exchanges.

Q: What do you think is the biggest problem DREP will solve that no other project is solving now, and why is the problem important to solve?
Momo:
DREP aims to tackle three particular issues:
- Inadequate public chain performance and poor developer experience
- Segregated public chain ecosystems and small user bases
- A mismatch between blockchain technology and enterprise needs
Firstly, as decentralization, scalability, and security cannot all be satisfied. public chains cannot improve TPS without sacrificing decentralization or security. DREP has proposed an alternative method to improve scalability called the ‘Smart Pipeline’. Similar to a Layer 2 solution, it can improve data processing capacities in batches, provide customized developer tools and therefore break the bottleneck of public chain scalability.
Secondly, operating restrictions are common between various public chains varying from infrastructure to DApps and resulting in separated user bases, such as with ETH and EOS users. This inevitably leads to “Prisoner’s Dilemma” in public chain development.
Thirdly, DREP API is adaptive to different languages, making it easier for centralized platforms to decentralize. And DREP Plug-in aims to satisfy more accurate and complex needs and is conducive to vertical domain development.
DREP API and Plug-in are highly-targeted development without complete comprehension of blockchain, making it easier to enrich functionality. They can support co-development, making it easier to adjust or modify during the development process. They can also convert practical problems to blockchain solutions directly, making it easier to use.
Q: Hi, Momo, can you please tell us some details about the development of Mainnet and when exactly will it be launched?
Momo:
As DREP Testnet 4.0 will be the final version, more functions will be added to better support the businesses and DApps adopting our technology. So the testing process will take longer than we planned. It’s all for better user-experience. The launching date of Mainnet depends on the performance of DREP Testnet 4.0 and our progress to get on exchanges.
Q: Hello Momo, I’ve noticed that DREP is establishing cooperation with universities. Last Wednesday I was there on Youtube for the USYD AMA and it was a great sharing. So will DREP keep up its efforts in community building?
Momo:
The answer is a definite yes. Right now our developer community comes from China, Singapore, Australia, Russia and India mainly.
As you might already know, DREP has inked partnership with USYD Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Society to establish Developer Community. The developer community, on the one hand, is one of the most cherished part for blockchain companies; on the other hand, because of talent shortage, developer community is a scarce resource. Therefore, we will keep up with work to nurture and acquire more good talents from higher institutions for future development work.
Q: Apart from Binance DEX this time, DREP has been listed on Gate.io and Bitmax.io. But we didn’t see that much of an improvement in price here. What do you think of Binance DEX this time?
Momo:
Binance DEX listing is definitely a value-adding experience for DREP. It not only shows the trust and support from Binance team and its community a.k.a. validators in this case but also helps DREP with our exposure.
Similar as gate listing, DREP has been known by so many Chinese token holders and reported by crypto media in China ever since the IEO.
Price is a market behavior so we do not have too much of a say in this. However, what we do is to develop more user cases, get listed on more exchanges and deliver all the targets we promised to the community.
