My First Time Moving In With A Boy
Things got a little shaky at first…
So Zeke met my mom, all went well, and things were great in the long-distance version of our relationship. But my move home during the pandemic was always meant to be temporary, and the world was starting to open up again and return to a version of normalcy. As a standup comic and budding surfer, it was time to get back to LA!
As you might recall, housing costs went absolutely bananas during covid and I was now looking for an apartment to rent on the westside of Los Angeles in the spring of 2021. Some examples of properties I found:
Studio apartment: Close to the beach! Kitchenette! Well, a single cabinet with a cooktop and no sink. You can just use the bathroom sink to wash your vegetables. But it’s cozy! If you stick out your arms and spin in a circle you can touch all four walls at once. Truly a breeze to decorate! $2000 + utilities
