I was only 45 years old when I had a complete hysterectomy. I had large fibroid tumors and thankfully they were benign. I had no major symptoms of menopause other than some frantic hot flashes here and there, but other than that there were no other problems. I was glad to be done with menstrual periods and pap smears.
