Evernote is my beloved daily companion, who saves everything I want to remember. Ideas, notes, to-dos and most importantly: all the great articles I stumble upon every day.

Buffer is my first choice for sharing great articles. And if you use both as I do you will love what the tool Context Booster can do for you:

Explore the context of articles you like!

Context Booster was part of the Evernote Accelerator in 2013, was awarded by Evernote with the “Best for Productivity” category award, won silver in Evernotes yearly Devcup competition and even a prize by Google during a Hackathon in Berlin.

Boosted view of an article in the web browser. The same works directly from within Evernote.

Context Booster gives you more context on your notes in Evernote.

You just have to tag a note with ‘contextboost’ and seconds later your get a list of links to all the mentioned and associated topics to learn more about them.

A short description by Wikipedia, related popular articles, video, pictures and links are only one click away and of course you can easily save stuff back to Evernote if you wanna keep it!

Topic page for François Mitterrand with a description, articles, videos, pictures and links.

The data comes to you, appears in the right context where it makes sense and integrates smoothly with Evernote.

So if you want to learn more about a related topic everything is right at your fingertips!

It works in the browser , on your smartphone, tablet and of course within every Evernote app you already use — and it’s completely free of charge!

Connect Buffer and boost the stuff you share!

With the direct integration of Buffer you can now save also all the articles your share! When you add an article to Buffer it gets saved to Evernote after it finally has been send — in a cleared view like you know it from tools like Pocket, Instapaper or Evernotes Webclipper — and of course it’s boosted!

Just activate the integration with Buffer to boost everything you share!

If you share a link to your friends, isn’t it worth keeping a boosted copy for yourself in your external brain called ‘Evernote’?

The article you have just shared via Buffer appears cleared and boosted directly in Evernote.

With Twitter it works the same way. You can connect your Twitter account and every article linked in a tweet you mark as favorite gets directly pulled into Evernote. Cleared and boosted with related topics!

On a side note: The good news for all users of Pocket is: if you save to Evernote from Pocket and add the tag ‘contextboost’: again the article will be boosted in Evernote.

Try Context Booster yourself!

If your are curious to try it yourself you can signup for the private beta of Context Booster with this special link:
