Manhattan is so expensive now that many people in their 20’s, 30’s and even 40’s are moving to Brooklyn. Many people feel that the city can be lonely, too stressful, vain, way too expensive and is mostly for old school adults. Young working individuals today are not gullible any more. They know it’s not cool to rent a tiny studio in the city for about $3,000 a month, and would choose a $2,000 one bedroom in the suburbs any time. Brooklyn is now the place for young singles, couples and new families looking to have kids who can no longer afford the insane NYC prices.

Yes, Ma’ am Pam! Brooklyn is happening, and its hoods are in high demand: Brooklyn Heights, Dyker Heights, DUMBO, Williamsburg, Bed-Stuy, Flatbush, Prospect Park, Red Hook and now — Sunset Park! When Barclays Center opened, Flatbush was the place to go. Today, Sunset Park is the next trendiest neighborhood. This is great news for those who reside in the residential area and have been taking the train to the city to work. Finally, it’s possible for those who reside in the suburbs to work closer to home, and be able to catch up on some beauty sleep. It’s also great for travelers who prefer to go off the beaten path, because there are lots of redevelopment along Sunset Park’s waterfront.

Just imagine what an amazing view an office, event space or a residential loft can all have by the water! The Sunset Industrial Park has gorgeous views of lower Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn. It is home to big names such as FedEx, Home Depot, IKEA, Lowes, Verizon and Whole Foods. Even the NBA team, Brooklyn Nets moved its new training facility to Industrial City in Sunset Park. The Brooklyn Nets’ official hospital since 2004 — Hospital for Special Surgery, Nike+ NYC and ProHealth Urgent Care are the facility’s sponsors. The incredible facility offers lots of conference rooms, media rooms, rooftop entertainment space, multimedia theater, weight room, pool and hydro pools, and a huge hospitality lounge.

Other notable mentions are South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, Bush Terminal Park, the Whale Building, and the Brooklyn Army Terminal, which are all quite special in making the most out of Sunset Park’s waterfront. The use of warehouses there are great for parties, event venues and even wedding receptions. The possibility is endless, and the area’s amazing transformation is gentrifying quickly into a spicy combination of shopping malls, chocolate shops, design centers, party venues and more. The whole surrounding areas are re-establishing itself very quickly with all these activities that are making Sunset Park’s neighborhood and real estate hot commodities now.

Liberty View Industrial Plaza, located at 850 Third Avenue, is now home to emerging designers, apparel and textile manufacturers, as well as heavyweight advertising, fashion, food, industrial, real estate and tech companies, such as but not limited to: Amazon, BrightFarms, Jacque Torres Chocolates, Koppers Chocolate, Li-Lac Chocolates, Manufacture New York, MicroCenter, picture people, Saks Off Fifth. Even Bed Bath & Beyond, every family’s top favorite domestic merchandise retail store since the 1970s, opened recently at Liberty View Industrial Plaza. Also known as “BEYOND at Liberty View,” shoppers can now enjoy all of its top brands in one convenient location. It’s not just shopping for home, beauty, fashion and kids — there are good eats too!

So, if you’re looking to experience delicious American food and locally brewed craft beer, cool beer growlers, wine, espresso, drip and pour over coffee and yummy sweet treats to satisfy a hungry appetite, then look no more. For those who want to check out cooking classes and product demos, food sampling, or how-to sessions, they’re now available at Liberty View Industrial Plaza.
