Incrediblue is one of the most popular companies for yacht’s holidays. Described by some as an ‘Airbnb for boats’, Incrediblue won the startup competition at the most recent How To Web conference in Bucharest, Romania, which led to quite some interest from investors…
In our research we observed that a significant factor of the incrediblue’s success is the personalization of company. The employees communicate constantly with the clients and skippers, and every employee tries to find a solution to their problems. Incrediblue connects with clients via customer care and social media. They receive feedback with 3 ways : emails, trust pilot and site experience evaluation. Four people try to improve the client-owner communication-experience.
On the other hand the communication with skippers is different. Skippers-owners have the chance to promote their thoughts and problems to incrediblue’s crew via emails and phones. According to Mr Orfanidis their next goal for the connection between company and skippers-owners is the launch of a new application. In addition, skippers-owners have direct communication (face to face, phones) with the yacht’s staff.
Another important factor which helps us to realize the success of this start up is that incrediblue does not only share trips and holidays , but also it provides with services. According to Mr. Gatos (Co-founder), the members of this start up want to share an exclusive experience. From this summer season they will give the opportunity to provide extra values — benefits such as nanny, hostess or transportation (from the airport).
All in all, we realize that the success of a company in sharing economy and collaborative consumption field is based on many aspects. There is no key for a successful company and there are many combinations of different factors.
