Majority of ethereum(ETH) wallet users think that they need another wallet address to store and send ethereum classic(ETC). LOL…..

This is so not true as the same wallet address you use to store your ethereum and all other ERC20 tokens is the same wallet address you use to store ethereum classic and all ethereum classic tokens. The only difference is the blockchain network.

Today i will be teaching everyone that do not know how to do this step by step how to store and transfer ethereum classic and all ethereum classic tokens on the normal ethereum wallet address. Follow me and lets dive in.

All ethereum wallet can be opened in myetherwallet.com be it Trust, Eidoo, Metamask, imToken, Saturn, Ejinn and so on and so forth, they can all be opened in myetherwallet.com either by using your private key or your 12 seed words

The first network that you meet on default with myetherwallet is ETH network. That is why once you login to your account, all your ERC20 tokens including your ETH will display

The wallet i will use to teach you guys was created in eidoo but i am going to open it with my 12 seed words on myetherwallet.

As you can see from this picture, i am on the ETH network and you can see my wallet address both marked with red arrows.

Look at the picture above. I marked my wallet address and the network i am on with red arrows.

For me to store my ethereum classic(ETC), I will still send it to this same wallet address and it will be safe inside. However, if i am on the main ETH network, Iwill not be able to see my ETC despite the fact that it is inside the wallet. So the question now is how do i see my ETC in my ethereum wallet address?

To answer this question, all i need to do is to change the blockchain network i am operating from. See the picture below.

All you need to do is to change the network from ETH (myetherwallet) to ETC (gasTracker)

After you change it, the website will reload and you will be asked to login again. As you did above, use your private key or 12 seed word to login

If you look at the picture now, you will see that i am now on the ETC network, my wallet address is still the same and you can also see the balance of ETC that i have.

For you to send ETC to any wallet or contract address, just follow the steps in the picture below.

  1. Fill in the wallet or contract address you want to send the ETC to
  2. Enter the amount of ETC you want to send
  3. Enter the gas limit you want to use. Bear in mind that transaction fee in ETC is lower than transaction fee in ETH so you can afford to reduce the gas limit that the website automatically fix for you. But if you want a very fast transaction, you can leave the gas limit the way it is.
  4. Click generate and send transaction.

It is also very important to note that while you are on the ETC network, some ERC20 tokens that you have in your wallet will show error message.

This is nothing to worry about. Once you switch back to the ETH network, you will not see the error message again and your tokens will all be there, safe and sound. LOL

This is the end of this blog. Next I will write on how to trade WIIG tokens on saturn exchange.

Stay alert.
