Privacy + Ravn

Humans are social creatures. We are naturally wired to interact with each other and our environment. Some have even argued that social interaction evolved as a biological mechanism to ensure our survival. However, regardless of this need to interact, it cannot be denied that humans still require at least some measure of privacy. With the emergence of the internet and the proliferation of social media platforms and messenger applications, human lives have never been under this much scrutiny. In order for us to digitally socialize and be part of a group, our personal data, which is attached to it, is often confiscated by big corporations and used in many despicable ways for profit.

In essence, as we innocently socialize within digital mediums, we are inadvertently becoming victims. Some aren’t aware of this invasion. For those of us who are aware, we’ve passively made the decision to trade our privacy for our need to socialize…

Once upon a time, we may have been more indifferent to this compromise; perhaps we embraced it and saw it as a sacrifice necessary for adopting new technologies. However, if we are to go by the recent outrage toward events like Facebook’s data privacy scandal, it becomes evident that allowing our private matters and information to be seen, in trade for the need to socialize is a decision we have to make and swallow if we want to be a part of the crowd. Yet the argument for data privacy, which was once relegated to the background, is now going mainstream. Today, more and more people are demanding privacy, and even governments are being forced to listen — the implementation of data privacy laws like the GDPR comes to mind. With moves like this, it is becoming clear that privacy will become the vanguard for internet-based applications in the future.

Instant messengers are slowly replacing the more mundane SMS. We now have messaging applications that not only deliver messages and allow you to make calls, but look sleek and possess a variety of other functions. However, mainstream messenger applications like Facebook chat and Whatsapp have failed when it comes to enforcing anonymity and privacy. Others like Kik messenger and Yik Yak that attempted enforcing anonymity and privacy, have been heavily criticized for failing to check the propagation of cyber bullying on their platforms.

This is where Ravn comes in…

You choose your user name. Your name, your email and your phone number are not collected when you sign up. You are always anonymous within Ravn.

Ravn has leveraged blockchain technology to create the world’s first invisible, anonymous and fully encrypted messenger app which applies Korrax-Stellar smart contract functionality. The Ravn app prioritizes data privacy and shoulders the responsibility of your online security by employing military grade AES-256 OMEMO encryption to protect your data. Never before have we had a messenger app that seamlessly combines blockchain tech, artificial intelligence (AI), premium security protocols and an anonymous payment and income structure to produce a unique privacy-oriented ecosystem, which ensures every aspect is in full anonymity.

Ravn is building the bridge to the future of internet privacy, putting its users back in the driver’s seat, ensuring their data is adequately secured against breaches, prying eyes and malignant corporations. The Ravn messenger goes beyond being anonymous and private; it will have an ecosystem embedded within its operations, which will be run by Ravn’s native utility token, KORRAX (KRX). KRX is a privacy-based token, which allows its users to generate encrypted smart contracts for corporate contracts, assignments or agreements. KRX is secure, anonymous and protected by Ravn’s stealth protocol, which applies a number of cutting-edge privacy and security features to guarantee the safety of KORRAX, whether it is in its stealth wallet or tied up in smart contracts.

The Ravn messenger app offers its users first-rate security, anonymity and privacy while allowing for enjoyment of all the features of mainstream messaging applications. Many have argued that social interaction and privacy are two opposing polarities that cannot be merged, Ravn disagrees, and now it is presenting an opportunity for users to be able to socialize and interact, securely, privately, and anonymously with those whom they already know. For the first time, we are being offered a messenger platform that doesn’t force us to choose between socialization and privacy. With Ravn, we can have the best of both worlds…we can have our cake and eat it too.
