My younger sister is in college going through the “unhealthy phase”, which includes a lot of late nights and buckets full of unhealthy food. She has completely wrecked her digestive system.

Yesterday, my parents had to drag her to the hospital in an emergency because she wasn’t able to breathe. The doctor ordered an X-ray of her chest, which was all clear. Turns out it was just gas. She just needed some antacid to fight off the acidity.

Her acid reflux was so bad that it leads to shortness of breath, which she interpreted as asthma, leading to a commotion in the house. Her eating habits have destroyed her digestive system.

Life is fast and you are busy. But does that mean you will neglect your health to the point of an emergency visit?
