transmission #029

At the end of tonight’s walk we should finally arrive at the northern gates. We’ve been cautious so far, with no incidents. Early today one of the kids standing watch spotted movement — it was far off and whoever it was never got nearer. But we won’t exit the city tomorrow morning. We’ll sleep one last time under the dome of Deosai. Hopefully I’ll make my next transmission from outside, enroute to Gobi. The wrist navigator I found yesterday will be of great help. It’s a military model, with compass, maps and track-plotting tools. One day. Just one more day.
