Sitting for prolonged periods is an occupational hazard that you can’t ignore, it's non-negotiable.

But this new study found that you can decrease the damage caused by sitting in just five minutes. A short break can undo the effects of prolonged sitting.

Taking a 5-minute walking break after 30 minutes of sitting did wonders for the participant's health. It lowered blood pressure and blood sugar which further reduced the risk of diabetes.
