My grandma was the strongest woman I had the fortune of knowing, she was the glue that held my family together for so many years. She was an amiable person with boundless inner strength.

The smiles never slipped off her face, regardless of the difficulties she had faced in life. She learned lessons that adversity taught her and passed them on to us, believing that her experiences can teach us about life.

She went from being the daughter of a high-class clothe merchant to the wife of a low-salary office employee. My grandpa died early leaving her to raise 5 children on her own. She always remembered all the people who helped her during that tough time, who shared her hardship.

The Most Important Thing That Matters

She was a fighter, battling a brain tumor with high spirits and a beautiful smile. She was having a good day sharing her old stories with us as if she was perfectly fine.

That day she told us all about her struggles as a single mother, the difficulties she had to face, and all the jobs she did. But most importantly she told us about the kind people who helped her during that rough time. Who stood by her and…
