Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme. It’s not a space, for people who think they will see 100-1000x, in a couple of weeks or even months. If you got into this space with those expectations, then Im sorry to say this, but you are probably going to lose money.

This “market” is for people who have a little foresight and patience. It’s for people who see where the financial world is heading, and have decided to bet on it.

I hate to be the barer of bad news but this isn’t even a market yet. We don’t have proper regulations. We don’t have adequate insured custody solutions. We don’t even have proper liquidity as of yet. How could we possibly think of this as a “market"? Under 200 billion dollars, does not equate to a market. Lets not kid ourselves, this is still quite convoluted, in its current state.

There is hope. I give you XRP.

Ripple Labs has been very strategic, in its rollout plan. It’s met with banks from around the world. It’s met with governments around the globe. It’s met with financial institutions worldwide. It’s the only crypto company, that has engaged the IMF, world bank, federal reserve and the white house officials. Not to mention, one of the only companies, that is allowed to have an office in China. Yes, Ripple Labs has done an amazing job at bringing digital assets to the mainstream world.

Why isn’t the price of XRP reflecting the adoption. Lets look at that.

We have to remember what the CEO of Ripple Labs (Brad Garlinghouse) said,

“Crawl, Walk, Run".

Crawl: Mark Phillips, in a recent interview, gave the analogy of a flywheel. It takes a lot of energy to get moving. With Ripple and XRP, its going to take a few smaller banks and financial institutions, to get the figurative “wheel” to start moving. We are seeing this play out now.

Walk: Once all the smaller corridors have opened, then you will start to see mid size corridors open and that will lead the way to bigger institutional corridors opening.

Run: this is where the most exciting stuff takes place. When you see massive banks, corporations and financial institutions start utilizing the XRP network.

I wish we could wave our wands and make all the corridors open at once, but this isn’t Hogwarts and we aren’t Harry Potter. There is no wizardry in this space. This space has hackers and even manipulation. Lets not fool ourselves, this will take some time to mature.

Think of it this way; you have invested into a market, before it was even a market. Now that is quite awesome. Its definitely something that my 5 year old will be proud of, (when he is old enough to understand).
