Looking for Experts to Join the Search

Finding the Ghost Boat requires looking in a lot of different places at the same time. We have a team of journalists investigating leads and following up information from across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and elsewhere.

But we know we can’t be everywhere, or know everything. And we know that experts on the ground are often prevented from sharing information or knowledge by the organizations they work for. So we’re asking anybody who might have relevant expertise to join in the hunt for 243 missing people.

Things we’re looking for specifically:

• Knowledge of refugee processing

• Satellite imaging

• Mediterranean Hydrography

• Human trafficking in Libya

• Tigrinya speakers

• Italian speakers (particularly legal documents)
