Google Instant App — Why should you use it?

A Google Android Instant app is a feature that allows your users to use the app without having to install it. This functionality was introduced by Google in 2017 because so many apps have been developed and research shows that many apps are barely used. And it ‘s unnecessary when an app takes to much space on the device. In addition, Google wants to introduce users to your app in an accessible way. This is possible with Instant app.

The advantages and disadvantages

As an app developer, the advantages are that you can offer the app in an accessible way. The user doesn’t need to install the full app to get the information they want. The disadvantage is that the app must be small, but as an app developer you are therefore forced to focus and make choices. So, in the end it’s worth it.

Example of an Instant app

An example of an Instant app is that of a mail order company. You would like to be kept informed of where your package is. The mail order company prefers that you install the full app, but as a user you will not install the app if they only come by a few times.
