Anxiety in the time of a pandemic is a normal thing, we are all anxious about the future. Waking up every day not knowing when this nightmare is going to end has made us more anxious than ever.

Here are a few things that you should avoid to reduce your anxiety.

Binge Watching

Everybody loves Netflix and chill. Mindlessly re-watching Friends for the hundredth time is our favorite past time. If you are a millennial then you are most likely to use streaming services as a cure for boredom.

Binge-watching can cause a rise in anxiety levels. It is a form of escapism, you want to forget the reality and immerse yourself in the character's story. It also causes loneliness and depression.

How to break this habit: Binge-watching in moderation is the key, set a limit for binging like my limit is 40 minutes a day. Try dopamine fasting for detoxifying my brain. Right now I am off youtube and Netflix for a week.

Not Exercising

Everybody knows the miraculous benefits of exercise. It can improve your heart, aid in blood pressure, and can even stop your brain from aging. All types of exercise may it be cardio, aerobic or weights…
