Take a look at your life. You manage so many aspects of it over the Internet. A lot of crucial information about you is available online and it’s distributed all over the network. Many of you use web services to manage your businesses or do it using devices that are connected to the Internet.

Manipulated data can crash stock markets. Identity theft can result in financial losses and reputation damage. Stolen business intelligence can bankrupt established companies. Information is more valuable than ever because it is the foundation of today’s world. How do you protect it?

In the real world, you use locks, ID cards, you have surveillance cameras, alarm systems, the police, army and security agencies. Worldwide, trillions of dollars are being spent to keep you physically safe. What is being done to keep your data safe?

People are beginning to realize that the current IT security measures are not enough to protect their well-being. For this reason, the information security sector will grow massively during the coming years. Spending on online security solutions as well as cyber warfare and defense is going to increase drastically. This sector will become a crucial part of the world’s economy because in the end, our lives depend on it.
