Get more subscribers on Paquebot with Boter

In that tutorial, I’ll explain how to have partnerships with popular bots on Telegram, using the Boter platform. Boter gives the opportunity to have fair link exchanges, even if you don’t have the same number of subscribers: only the messages actually sent are compatibilized in the exchange.

Create your bot

For that, you need a bot made using Paquebot. Here is a tutorial.

Of course, you can also use Boter on a bot you made by yourself. But I won’t explain it here. If you use an other bot platform, you can ask the administrators to implement it on it, but I highly recommend you to use Paquebot, as everything is automated 😛

Install Boter on Paquebot

Open your own bot on Telegram. Type /boter on it. All your subscribers are now synchronized between your bot and Boter, and your account is linked too: if you connect to the website, you will directly see your bot(s).

Your bot is automatically synchronized with Boter.

Connect to Boter

If you follow the url they give you (or simply click here), you will get a link to connect on Boter.me via their bot. Tap on “Start” on BoterMeBot. Click on the connection link, and you will arrive on the web interface.

If you arrive from somewhere else, click the button on the home page on Boter.me

Get your first points

So the idea is that you promote other, and other promote you. Boter checks that only messages correctly sent are counted in the points, so if you send a promotion for another bot to 20 of your users, 20 other people will later receive a promotion about your bot 👍

In the promotion list (the 📢 bullhorn icon), select a promotion that is interesting for your audience. Then choose your bot, and click on “Send”.

Some people in your bot (the quantity depends on the points and your number of subscribers) will receive the promotion, and you will get one point for each of them.

Use your points (promote your own bot)

Now that you have points (in my case, 25 points), I can create a promotion for my bot. On the bot list (paper plane icon), I select Breakbot.

There is now a form allowing me to create a promotion that will be diffused on other bots.

I type a text (without any link, as it will be added automatically) that I want to see associated with my link.

I choose the link you want to associate with your text. It will be displayed at the bottom of your advertising. In my case, I select the link of the bot, and not the StoreBot link.

Recommendation about the points: select a low limit if you want your message to be displayed on many different bots, or a high limit if you don’t care. Make some tests with different limits to know which one brings you the most subscribers.

Now the bot appear in the promotions available for other bots.

Other administrators can choose to send the text about breakbot directly to their bot. 25 people will receive the promotion, as I have 25 points.

Of course, if I get more points by promoting other bots, the limit will also increase, and more people will receive messages about my bot!

You can create more promotions for the same bot, and the point limit will be the same. It’s better to put different kind of texts associated with the bot, so bot administrators can choose the good style for their bot: neutral, funny, very formal, etc…

How to make a good promotion?

It’s not easy to make a good text, but here are some tips:

1. Speak to the people who will receive the message, not to the bot owner: BAD: “Please share my bot to your subscribers”.
   GOOD: “Discover this new bot”
2. People should know what is that bot for:
   GOOD: “Discover this new bot”
   BETTER: “This bot sends pictures of cars every day”
3. The user must have a reason to open your bot:
   GOOD: “This bot sends pictures of cars every day”
   BETTER: “Discover brand new cars every day”
4. Be friendly, attract the eye of the user on important words
   GOOD: “Discover brand new cars every day”
   BETTER: “✔️ Discover BRAND NEW CARS every day! 🚘 👍”

Of course, you can make two kind of promotions, and analyse which one get you more followers! Let me know if you have more tips.
