Where do you get your energy from?
These last few weeks have been super crazy. I moved back to college, started classes, and have been working a ton. Read what I’m up to here:
I’ve been thinking a bit about my energy…Rarely am I ever really tired. I wake up at 6 (not something to be proud of, just how I am wired). Then comes the question, where do I get my energy?
So I split my activities into two parts: people or without people. How much time am I spending with others vs alone.
I came across these definitions:
Introverts (or those of us with introverted tendencies) tend to recharge by spending time alone. They lose energy from being around people for long periods of time, particularly large crowds.
I spend my mornings generally alone. I also like to be alone at the gym. I think if I have a lot to do (things that I can control), I feel most confident doing them alone.
Extroverts, on the other hand, gain energy from other people. Extroverts actually find their energy is sapped when they spend too much time alone. They recharge by being social.
But people give me energy. I rarely turn down an opportunity to see or talk to different people. College is great for that because it seems like there is always more chances to meet people.
So where do you get your energy from?
If you could maximize your energy then would you be happier?
