Ships are incredible complex machines that take many small parts to come together and form a magnificent machine — in Ship Rogue-Like (SRL), every ship is made of components. SRL is an innovative space combat simulator, your character Charlie and your Artificially Intelligent ship, SAM are destined for many adventures and these components allow for your ship to function smoothly.

Components and Ship

The four main components fall under Sensors, Weapons Subsystem, Solar Collector and Batteries.

Sensors (*picture for each components*)

  • Allow for 2d mode , draws “waypoints” on screen
  • when damaged, 2d mode and waypoints can malfunction
  • can pull enemy sensors from destroyed ships to learn new waypoints in levels

Weapons Subsystem

  • Can control up to four weapons when fully upgraded
  • Channels “energy” from into weapons.
  • When damaged, the system can fail to shoot, change weapons, or have other issues

Solar Collector

  • The solar collector converts light into battery power
  • When shooting, flying and using many systems (like 2d mode) extra power is consumed
  • The more upgraded the solar collector, the more “time” a player can be at high speeds, and shoot many weapons
  • Damaged solar panels stop the player from collecting energy
  • When the ship runs out of energy

Batteries

  • Batteries store energy for later use
  • They can be upgraded to increase capacity
  • When damaged, they can “leak” energy
