Around a year ago, I got back to consistently reading and have so far finished over 70 books — no, not 100 page ones to inflate my book count but rather 400–600 page ones with the occasional 1000 page behemoths.

That’s over one enormous book a week all while doing college work, writing online, stock trading, and working out every single day. Also, did I mention a summer internship?

Well, I didn’t spend hours reading, I just capitalized on every second and opportunity available to read. And that’s the key to becoming a prolific reader. Here are 4 ways in which you can do the same.

#1 — Always Carry a Book with You

To read anywhere and anytime you first need a book. If you have a bag, you can slip in a big book. If only a purse, then a small one and if neither you always have pocket books.

Unless you’re going on a date or scuba diving, you’ll almost always be able to carry a book with you. Be it a boring commute, the backseat of a car, a long flight, or a bumpy train ride, a book can provide you company.
