You’ll lose every argument if your can’t control your anger. It doesn’t matter if your stance is valid, you lose the argument the moment you raise your voice.

That’s it. There are no ifs and buts. You lose your composure, you lose the battle.

It’s not always easy keeping your shit together when you have been wronged badly, but you can fake it till you make it.

These are the top five tips that have helped me keep my calm during fights worst than a shitstorm.

1. Take a step back

The easiest way to disengage from an argument is by stepping away.

You don’t have to leave the room but you do need to create some distance between your opponent and yourself.

Energy is contagious. You get wrapped up in their aggressive energy without even realizing it.

Take a few steps back and fill your lungs with some deep breaths to regain your focus.

Here’s how you can do it:-

  • Don’t leave the room or the fight.
  • Stand as far away as you can from your opponent.
