The Etherty presale began on February 1, 2018 and will run until March 8, 2018. If the hard cap is reached before the specified date, the presale will be considered complete. This guide will show you how to contribute in the presale using Bitcoins.
1. Visit https://account.etherty.com/
Open the link and log in with your Etherty username and password. You will be automatically directed to the ‘Invest’ page.
If the page doesn’t open immediately, click the tab ‘Invest’ on the top right side of the webpage.
You will be given three options for contributing in the presale: Ether, Bitcoin and USD. Click the ‘BTC’ box.
2. Enter the BTC amount
To help you understand the payment process, here’s an example. Let’s say, you want to contribute 0.12 BTC in the presale. You simply write the amount in the empty field box and we will automatically calculate the total ETY tokens you will receive (a 30% bonus will be applied during presale).
Note: At the time of writing, Bitcoin’s price is worth $8,505.78, and it may change in the future. To get the latest value, please visit https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/.
Once you are done with this step, click ‘Buy Now’.
3. Use your Bitcoin wallet
In order to send Bitcoins, you need to create a Bitcoin wallet. If you are a new user, take a look at this article to learn about the different types of cryptocurrency wallets available.
Now, simply add your Bitcoin wallet address (which you will use to send funds to Etherty) as shown in the image below.
Unfortunately, we don’t accept Bitcoin payments from online exchange wallets including Kraken, Coinbase, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, Bittrex, Bitpanda and others.
Make sure to double-check the address because once you click ‘Next’, the previous step will be locked.
4. Send funds to Etherty
You can either copy Etherty’s Bitcoin wallet address or scan the QR code from the webpage. If you choose to copy the address:
· Go back to your Bitcoin wallet and paste it on the receiving/recipient address field.
· Enter the amount of BTC (in this example: 0.12 BTC)
· Click ‘Send’.
· Once you are done, come back to the opened tab and click ‘Payment Sent’.
If you choose to scan the QR code:
· Open the scanner and put the camera in front of the code.
· Once the scanner recognizes the address, enter the amount you want to send in BTC.
· Click ‘Send’ or add your PIN to complete the payment.
· Once you are done, come back to the opened tab and click ‘Payment Sent’.
5. Confirm your transaction
Click the ‘Transactions’ tab (right next to ‘Invest’) to view your transaction status. We will verify the transaction within 48 hours, so you won’t see it instantly. However, your balance will be updated to reflect the purchase as soon as we confirm the process.
A word of caution
Always make sure that you are using the official Etherty link: https://account.etherty.com/login. You can bookmark the page, so you don’t need to double-check it every time. Remember to add us to your ‘Safe Senders’ list if our emails keep showing up in the Junk/Spam folder.
