The Agony Of Losing A Grandparent

--

The unfillable void they leave behind.

Grandparents are your greatest cheerleader, being able to grow in their love and guidance is the biggest blessing you can receive.

They love to spoil you and their love knows no limits. They support you when no one else does. They encourage you to be your true authentic self.

They are your life coach, mentor, and friend all at once. You can tell them all your secrets and mischiefs, and they are always ready to cover your mistakes and shortcomings.

“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies.” — Rudolph Giuliani

Realize Their Value Before Its Too Late

Death is inevitable, yet we live our whole life ignoring this bitter truth.

You only realize the reality of death when you see someone close to you surrender to it or when you face it yourself.

My grandma was aware of this harsh reality and has been saying how she might not live to celebrate the next new year for the past 20 years or so and we would always reply by saying that she had a long life, she wasn’t going to leave us all anytime soon.
