Nice to see you here :)

AMO Team reporting for duty. We are the world’s first Reverse ICO aiming to create a Blockchain for the car data market.

Our dear Sim Sang-kyoo, CEO of AMO Labs, was invited as a special lecturer at the Seminar on Employee Training organized by Hyundai Motor Group last month.

This training was conducted by Hyundai NGV, a specialized educational institution within the Hyundai Motor Group. Participants were employees from automobile and auto parts companies, including Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors. Amongst them were projects such as Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai Wia, Hyundai Dymos, Hyundai Powertech and Hyundai Mnsoft, who are involved in automobile parts manufacturing and automobile software development.

Mr. Sim Sang-kyoo’s training was conducted under the theme of smart car’s automobile security technology and protection of automobile data. The content of the training was based off five keywords: Security, Platform, Autonomous Driving, Connectivity, Electrification (or in short SPACE).

When the communication functions of the current internal combustion engine vehicles become a part of the connected car, they can actively communicate with roads, traffic lights, pedestrians, other driving cars, electric car chargers, etc. while driving. Communication means to exchange data in real time in order to immediately identify and react to situations happening on the road. For example, if an accident takes place, the route for other cars can be changed right away and space for the closest ambulance to arrive as fast as possible can be created. There are many other advantages as well such reacting to pedestrians who suddenly appear from hard-to-see spots when the automobile is self-driving, or to avoid cars that cut you in traffic.

There are potential risks of being exposed to external threats such as hacking when having multiple communications active at all times. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that car manufacturers, vehicle parts suppliers, vehicle software developers and security solution providers collaborate to design not only connected but also safe cars. AutoCrypt, the world’s first automobile security solution (developed since 2007), plays an important role in this vital process.

Mr. Sim Sang-kyoo’s training lasted about 2 hours. In addition to the latest technologies and trends related to automobile security, the introduction of the AMO project to collect and utilize vehicle data systematically was included in the training as well.

Introducing AMO Labs through a formal seminar to professionals in the automotive industry not only captures the target audience perfectly but also improves AMO’s standing and adds weight to the project. Dr. Sim Sang-kyoo has introduced AMO every time he had the chance to speak at a seminar or lecture ever since the ICO started in May.
