I guess it’s kind of appropriate that on a morning where I heard a KQED bit about how California’s public mental health system is still broken decades after deinstitutionalization I’d run into someone who was fully gone on BART.

Talking about how he “didn’t want any of us to die.” How “we could all be his cousins” and getting almost halfway to tears.

It was scary. And I’m more scared *for* him than I am scared *of* him.
