2015 Spring Pecan Street Festival

Royal Teeth / The Clouds are Ghosts / Holiday / Merri Palmer / Various Artists

Austin, Texas

Saturday, May 2nd / Sunday, May 3rd

It’s unpretentious to know when the spring season comes around. The sun rises in the earlier hours of the morning and set later on in the afternoon. The days get slightly warmer. Spring flowers start to appear, birds start to build their nests, and the first Pecan Street Festival of the year transpires. Pecan Street Festival, has been a long tradition in the city of Austin, Texas, nonetheless, in its last iterations, it has been renovating itself in more than one way. One of its more noticeable improvements has been the excellent curating of its musical line-up, thanks to the involvement of local marketing and event company, The Loyalty Firm. The line-up for the Spring 2015 Pecan Street Festival included a great combination of newcomers, well-known local heroes bands, and even large out-of-town touring bands, establishing a great mix up different genres across three stages ranging from instrumental to electronic, from cumbias to rock, from pop to surf, among many other genres. As new seasons come, Pecan Street Festival becomes a more a serious music festival in Austin, without leaving their humble intensions behind, providing fun and music for all-ages for a price you can’t beat…free!
