Here’s our third prompt for January’s theme: From Zero to Hero

Inmost Cave

The Approach to the Inmost Cave is the seventh stage of Vogler’s Hero’s Journey, where the protagonist approaches the climax of their journey and the point of greatest danger and personal fear.

The inmost cave is often a literal cave, but it can also be a metaphorical place that represents the hero’s innermost fears, doubts, and demons.

In this stage, the hero has to face their deepest fears in order to progress to the next stage of the journey.

In Star Wars, Skywalker’s approach is when he enters the station to rescue Princess Leia and face Darth Vader in a lightsaber duel. He must confront his fears and his father (who is also his mortal enemy, Darth Vader) to defeat the empire and save the galaxy.
