Corpse pose is considered one of the simplest poses and it is one of the favorite poses among yoga practitioners. After a grueling yoga session corpse pose feels like a breath of fresh air.

The corpse is an essential pose with which every yoga instructor ends the practice. It relaxes and rejuvenates the body and mind after a long practice. It helps in unwinding the nervous system and stables the cardiac function after exercise.

Corpse pose helps in bringing awareness to the body. It helps in attaining a level of physical and mental relaxation that can not be achieved by any other practice.

Helps Your Body Heal

Corpse pose helps you break down the lactic acid which accumulates in your body during a workout. The lactic acid causes the muscle to become sore, so practicing this pose helps you in reducing the soreness of muscles.

Exercise puts stress on the body, it leads to increase levels of cortisol. Corpse pose helps in balancing this hormone. Exercise activates our fight-or-flight response, practicing corpse pose at the end workout helps the body to come back to its relaxed form.
