Catherine Frazier is the woman behind AnimatedText, a Tumblr comprised of gifs she makes using Xara 3D Maker. Inspired by 3D text gifs from old Geocities sites, her creations don’t quite look like something a 23-year-old graphic designer living in Oakland would make. But she’s cultivated a devoted following, receiving over 100 requests from fans a day for custom gifs. The lucky few who get chosen are placed into different categories like “glitter,” “sex,” “jesus,” “sad” and “pizza,” to name a few.
We asked Cat a few questions about her blog and the Internet. She responded in typical fashion.
