IOV has announced today that it has named Dave Puchyr as Chief Technology Officer. He will be responsible for all aspects of the technology organization, including blockchain infrastructure, business applications, product engineering and architecture.

Dave has led teams of over 60 people in financial services and banking such as Goldman Sachs in New York. He developed and maintained real-time, electronic market making pricing engines for US Treasury and agency bonds and coded real-time asset swap spread and agency discount note pricing engines. Dave holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering. He will leverage his experience to help accelerating the growth of IOV and its technology.

His passion for entrepreneurship also enabled him to take part in different projects throughout his career. His latest venture included the creation of a cross-platform graphical user interface (GUI) for CPU/GPU proof-of-work cryptocurrency mining as well as the administration of a Cosmos proof-of-stake validator node.

“IOV has tremendous talent — both in business and technology. I want to make sure that the developers are able to achieve their full potential in alignment with IOV’s business”, said Dave about his expectations and goals for his new position. “IOV’s technology provides excellent building blocks upon which amazing innovation can occur. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to use our technology to build products and services that can be used even by those that aren’t technically savvy”, he added.

Dave’s appointment cements a strong future for the company. We are so pleased to welcome Dave to the CTO position and we look forward to all the great things we will be able to achieve together.

“The blockchain industry is now much more mature and rapidly transforming from a R&D movement to an applied discipline that is transforming the supply chain, the entertainment, financial services, and the Internet of Values itself”, commented IOV’s CEO Karim Ganem. “We believe Dave Puchyr will be instrumental in this new chapter full of opportunities for IOV”, he concluded.

Dave is pursuing the work of Isabella Dell, who has helped navigating IOV through a period of foundation for the company. She has been key for the refinement of the IOV concept and its technology and will remain an important figure in the history of the project.
