How To Successfully Participate in the Public Sale

Rule 1. All listed times are Singapore Standard Time (GMT +8).
Rule 2. ONLY trust the official website https://sentinelprotocol.io and the official wallet address displayed on your account dashboard.
Rule 3. Crowdsale contribution limits are a minimum of 0.5 ETH up to a maximum of 10 ETH. Any amount within this range is acceptable. This includes the aggregate sum of multiple transactions. The recommended gas limit is 200,000 and the maximum GWEI price is 50. Transactions with a gas limit beyond 200,000 will be at risk of getting rejected by the smart contract. Transactions with a higher GWEI price will automatically get rejected.
Rule 4. Those who have already created accounts for the Presale must use their existing accounts.
Rule 5. During the presale, we kept the presale wallet address isolated from the website to prevent potential hacking. We only displayed the presale wallet address on the website at exactly 9 PM. However, after hearing feedback, we will display the crowdsale wallet address 30 minutes early, at 8:30 PM. This may be more convenient for the participants. However, from security perspective, this makes the address slightly less secure. We are displaying the wallet address early in spite of address forgery risks. This means you have to be extra cautious when making sure the recipient address and the wallet address are an exact match.
The Crowdsale Step-by-Step Process
The crowdsale begins at 9:00 PM SGT on May 27. We recommend that you complete the account registration process well before that date and time. Creating the account in advance will give you enough time for you to check and confirm the official Sentinel Protocol wallet address.
Prior to the Crowdsale Date
Step 1: Visit the official website https://www.sentinelprotocol.io. Create your public sale account if you haven’t already. Only eligible participants can create an account. If you already had an account for the presale, you need to use your existing account.
Step 2: Fill in your information including your ETH wallet address. In any case, we do not provide ETH wallet address for you. Please use the exact same ETH wallet address as the one you used in the KYC submission form.
Step 3: Shortly after you create your account, you’ll receive an email from info@uppsala.foundation containing the account verification link. Click the verification link in that email.
Step 4: Sign in to your new account. Your account dashboard will display your ETH wallet address, the type of public sale in which you can participate, and your UPP token balance. You can check your UPP token balance after you make your contribution.
On the Crowdsale day — May 27
Step 1: Sign in to your account.
While the crowdsale will begin at exactly 9:00 PM SGT, the contribution wallet address will be displayed at 8:30 PM SGT.
Please note that your signed in status will last only up to 12 hours. If you are idle for more than 12 hours, you will be signed out and be asked to sign in again.
Step 2: Click the “Display Wallet Address” button at 8:30 PM.
This is the button that reveals the Sentinel Protocol contribution wallet address. The button will be activated at 8:30 PM SGT.

Step 3: Copy the Sentinel Protocol ETH wallet address.
Step 4: Set the Sentinel Protocol Official Wallet Address as the recipient from your contribution wallet address.
You can no longer change your wallet address effective immediately. You can only contribute from the wallet address you submitted in your KYC form.
In the recipient address field, paste the Sentinel Protocol wallet address you copied in step 3. Double check to make sure the recipient address is identical to the one you copied from the dashboard.
Step 5: Click “Send (Ether)” in ETH wallet of your choice at 9:00 PM.
The smart contract will begin accepting transactions at 9:00 PM.
The smart contract will reject any transaction that falls outside of these ranges.
- Minimum: 0.5 ETH
- Maximum: 10 ETH
The smart contract will reject any transaction with a GWEI price over 50. Using a higher gas limit puts your transaction at risk of getting rejected.
- Recommended Gas Limit: 200,000
- Maximum GWEI Price: 50 GWEI
Note: The order of our token allocations will be based on the block height of your contribution on the Ethereum network.
Step 6: Return to your dashboard and refresh the browser. If your contribution is successful, your UPP balance will be updated. The tokens will be distributed on June 15.
If your contribution failed due to contributing late, sending an ETH amount that falls outside of the acceptable contribution limits, or exceeding the GWEI price, the dashboard will display rejected.

It is of utmost importance that you ONLY visit the official website: https://www.sentinelprotocol.io. Send your contribution to ONLY the official wallet address displayed on the dashboard. Please be vigilant of domains using different extensions such as .pw, .com, .info, or domains containing hidden misspellings such as the upper-case “i” or lower-case “L.”

The Step-by-Step Process
Prior to the Public Sale
1. Public Sale Participation Guide Sent via Email
The eligibility confirmation with the public sale participation guide will be emailed from info@uppsala.foundation to eligible participants on May 21 for the presale and May 25 for the crowdsale.
Note: Even if you passed KYC, you still may not be eligible. We are not responsible for explaining why or how your eligibility status was decided. We, as the token vendor, reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to reject any purchase of tokens by any participant at any time.
2. Public Sale Account Registration
Step 1: Visit the official website https://www.sentinelprotocol.io. Create your public sale account. Only eligible participants can create an account.
Eligible participants for both presale and crowdsale can create their account as soon as the registration page opens. However, the eligibility confirmation email for crowdsale participants would only be sent on May 25, after the presale ends. This is to help presale participants clearly distinguish whether or not they can participate in the crowdsale.
Note: Presale participants who have made a successful contribution would not be able to participate in the crowdsale. However, presale participants who did not submit a separate KYC for the crowdsale are still allowed to participate in the crowdsale.
Step 2: Fill in your information including your ETH wallet address. In any case, we do not provide ETH wallet address for you. Please use the exact same ETH wallet address as the one you used in the KYC submission form.
Step 3: Shortly after you create your account, you’ll receive an email from no-reply@uppsala.foundation containing the account verification link. Click the verification link in that email.
Step 4: Sign in to your new account. Your account dashboard will display your ETH wallet address, which type of public sale you can participate into, UPP token balance. You can refer to the UPP token balance after you make the contribution.
On the Public Sale day
Step 1
Sign in to your account. We recommend 10 minutes prior to the beginning time.
Signed in status will last only up to 12 hours. If you are idle for more than 12 hours, when you click the Display Wallet Address button, you will signed out and will be asked to sign in again.
Step 2
Click the Display Wallet Address button to reveal the Sentinel Protocol contribution wallet address. The button will only be activated at 9:00 PM SGT on the below dates for the type of sale you are eligible for. The Display Wallet Address will not be activated prior to the start time, even while you are signed in.

Step 3
Copy the Sentinel Protocol ETH wallet address.
Step 4
Launch an ETH wallet of your choice (MetaMask, MEW, etc.). You can no longer change this wallet address. You may have this already done before clicking Display Wallet Address at 9:00 PM SGT.
Step 5
Click “Send (Ether)” in ETH wallet of your choice. In the recipient address field, paste the Sentinel Protocol wallet address you copied in step 3. Double check to make sure the recipient address is identical to the one you copied from the dashboard. If the recipient address is not directly copied from the dashboard, it is not the Sentinel Protocol wallet address.
Any contribution that falls outside of these ranges will automatically be rejected.
Presale contribution limits: Minimum: 30 ETH, Maximum: 300 ETH
Crowdsale contribution limits: Minimum: 0.5 ETH, Maximum: 10 ETH
Set the gas limit to 200,000 and gas price to at most 50 Gwei. The gas price limit of 50 GWEI is to ensure every participant gets a fair opportunity to contribute. If a transaction with higher gas price is sent over, it will be rejected by our smart contract.
- Recommended Gas Limit: 200,000
- Maximum GWEI Price: 50 GWEI
Note: The order of our token allocations will be based on the block height of your contribution on the Ethereum network.
Step 6
Return to your dashboard page and refresh your browser. If your contribution is successful, your updated UPP balance will be displayed. The principal tokens will be distributed on June 15. The bonus tokens will be distributed on December 12, 2018, 180 days from the day you received the principal tokens.
If your contribution failed due to contributing late, sending an ETH amount that falls outside of the acceptable contribution limits, or exceeding the gas limits, the dashboard will either display pending or rejected.
