How do you make big decisions? Do you take the first idea or ask a friend? Or, you keep postponing it until it’s out of your hand.

Decision-making takes a toll on my energy levels and mental health. I never learned how to make decisions well.

Should I change my job? Buy this house? Hire another employee? Sell my business?

Tough choices determine whether we reach our goals and dreams. They expose us to the judgment of others. They trigger anxiety.

As an overthinker, it’s even worse.

For example, 85% of business leaders have suffered from decision distress. No surprise, decision-making is the 3rd most important skill for managers.

Not deciding is the worst decision.

So what to do? How can I make good decisions?

The answer is the 5-step PROACT decision-making framework in Smart Choices.

As a consultant and coach, I have used and fine-tuned this framework for years. It has become a default mental process for me. It has made me a faster and more confident decision-maker.
