Where are You Leading Your Readers?

Here’s how you can use Medium effectively in a loop

Where you lead your readers is key to content creation success.

At the end of every article you place a CTA … Call to Action and direct interested leaders to the next step so they trail further into your sales funnel.

For my blog-writing clients, this has varied from some companies simply wanting appointments as the Call to Action while I’ve developed lead magnets for others.

On Medium, we know that you don’t “own” the email addresses of your subscribers and if the platform goes ka-put then your readers go the way of the California Condor (some are surviving).

The conventional wisdom from people who have proven track records is that you write on Medium and lead your readers to your newsletter through Convertkit, Substack, Mailchimp or whatever service you use.

That way, you develop a relationship and they’ll buy your course, digital product, or home on an eroding hill along California’s Highway 1.

I’ve rarely attempted to do that since I don’t have courses and I have one poorly performing product on Gumroad.

I’ve just started a Substack on my journey with God and I’ve written short stories here with links to my Amazon…
