Hello members of the Carry Community!

A robot serving coffee, and paying for it in crypto? What seemed like a Sci-Fi fantasy is taking a step towards reality.

Helping bring this vision to reality is Regular6, a high tech food court that opened this June. It’s located in Gangnam N Tower, at the heart of Korea’s tech hub. Operated by Yook Wol Inc., Regular6 is looking to provide a unique experience of combining fine dining, and high tech. To top this all off, Regular6 will be the testbed for numerous crypto projects moving forward.

Brands that will make Regular6 their home include Wolhyang (Korean bistro serving food and Maggeoli, Korean rice wine), LoungeX (Coffee shop), Yookgram Aging Room (Korean barbecue), Sanbang Dwaeji (Korean pork barbecue), Joseon Hoetjip (Korean seafood restaurant), Pyeonghwaok (Korean noodle restaurant), and ALCOVE (Private dining room). These brands have put Regular6 on many Korean’s radars.

More important, however, are the high tech additions that will make this space unique. LoungeX will showcase their barista robot, capable of brewing hand drip coffee. Yookgram Aging Room will base their service on AI and the blockchain. Further, there will be fully autonomous robotic servers, blockchain based ingredient management systems, crypto transaction services, and a review platform that rewards users with crypto.

Carry Protocol has also partnered with Regular6 to showcase its service. As a preamble to this, all Regular6 storefronts will sport Dodo Point, operated by Carry’s key partner, Spoqa. Once Carry’s service is ready to launch, it will use these terminals to allow consumers to share their transaction data for CRE tokens. They’ll also be able to gain additional CREs via receiving and watching ads. Consumers can take the CRE tokens they earn, and use them in a variety of ways, including simply using CREs to pay for goods, and trading them via exchanges. There’s much anticipation from both the Carry team, and Regular6, that this partnership will be the first step in the offline revolution.

Let’s briefly explore that future, together.

Paul, an assistant manager that works out of Gangnam N Tower, stops by Regular6 every morning to buy coffee from LoungeX. He orders their hand drip coffee, which is prepared by their robot barista. At first, he stopped by out of curiosity, but he’s quickly become a regular here as the robot barista is not only quick, but is able to get the right amount of beans, and the right water temperature every time. This means that he’s able to get the same, great cup of coffee every time. He’s also able to collect both LoungeX’s brand tokens, and CRE tokens at every visit.

For lunch, he’s stopped by Pyeonghwaok, for their famed Pyeongyang style cold noodles. He places an order and pays at a kiosk, allowing him to minimize his wait time during this busy lunch hour. He sits at his seat, and waits for a robot to bring him his food. Pyeonghwaok, too, is a Dodo Point partner location, which means he’s able to get their brand tokens, and CREs for sharing his transaction info here. He’s able to get additional CREs by watching the ad Pyeonghwaok sent him, as well.

For dinner, he’s set to meet his long time friends. He has invited them to his place for a small party. He stops by Yookgram to pick up meat for the grill. Yookgram Aging Room specializes in using AI to maintain the best conditions to ensure the best quality of meat. Paul uses the CREs he’s accumulated to date to pay half, and the other half in cash. He is rewarded CREs for this transaction, as well.

He has been rewarded 300 CREs today, on top of the branded tokens from all the individual shops.

It’s still in the realm of fiction, but with this partnership, we’re one step closer to making it a reality. And this is just the beginning. We have more exciting news come June 17th, so please stay tuned!
