HIRAC FUND invests in AiCAN, developer of child consultation support services

HIRAC FUND, operated by Money Forward Venture Partners, a group company of Money Forward, has invested in AiCAN, a company developing child consultation support services.

Background of the Investment

The number of child abuse consultation cases in Japan has reached an all-time high of 219,170 cases in FY2022. Preventing child abuse, which affects the healthy growth of children, is considered one of the important issues that Japanese society as a whole should address.

AiCAN, the company HIRAC FUND is investing in, was established in 2020 with the vision of “changing the world into a safe place for all children.” They aim to solve child welfare issues through the digitalization of local governments. Their main service, “AiCAN Service,” supports the improvement of operational efficiency and decision-making quality in child abuse response sites. They also provide data analysis and related proposals and training as part of their support package. By accompanying each local government in solving their specific issues, they contribute to reducing the burden on staff and developing human resources.

HIRAC FUND is investing to support AiCAN’s challenge in addressing this important and difficult social issue in Japanese society, with their management team possessing domain knowledge and expertise in child abuse situations. In the future, HIRAC FUND will provide broad support through the resources of the fund and promote network building with regional financial institutions.
