From the moment we’re born, society claims us — and through parenting, schools, pop culture, etc. molds us into tractable rat-wheel running hamsters.

But most of us already know this. So what’s stopping us from breaking out of this?

It’s definitely not the scarcity of learning resources or the difficulty of accessing them — you don’t need to peruse ancient esoteric scripts. You just need a basic computer with an internet connection.

Is it because there’s a sheer amount to learn? No again. Most of the necessary things take just a short YouTube video or article to learn.

The true obstacle is the wrong knowledge that has already been internalized.

And unlearning is the key to overcome this — but this is easier said than done.

“The shortest and surest way of arriving at real knowledge is to unlearn the lessons we have been taught, to mount the first principles, and take nobody’s word about them.”
