Cursed DAO: Improvement Proposals

Good day, my fellow landlubbers; I wanted to take the opportunity to announce the launch of our very first Cursed DAO Improvement Proposal (CIP).

CIPs, What are they?

These CIP proposals will be used going forward to help enable the community to shape and build the DAO however they see fit; the first CIP-01 — which has been raised in our discord under Cursed DAO’s new Governance category — is unique; it pre-dates the “Summoning Event”, and the voting is not being undertaken on our new snapshot page:

The reasoning is simple, no Cursed Pirate NFTs (ERC721 Standard) have been minted yet, so we cannot utilise them on Snapshot!

Why Launch a CIP-01, then?

Well, this first proposal helps us to set the parameters of our NFT mint: the launch time, whitelist pre-mint duration, and public allocations per wallet in the mint. The Galleon team mentions time and time again that community is everything to us, and it’s true; we want to make sure that our community gets a say and can provide input on all the above so we can help better accommodate a safe and successful mint.

Although we should preface that this voting is not “officially” binding (and at the team’s discretion), the reason is that there are always risks of external factors that may impact and cause last-minute changes. However, wherever possible, the team will notify the community of these required changes ahead of time.

The CIP-01 vote is currently ongoing within the discord; the voting is as follows:

#2 Mint Schedule, Whitelist mint period duration:

2 Hours
4 Hours
8 Hours

#3 Mint Allocation, Public mint — Max per wallet*:

WL spots enable one mint per wallet. All WL wallets will be able to mint again in the public sale.

If you want to join the conversion, you’ll need to join our discord. The governance CIP-01 channel is locked by design. However, a discussion thread can be easily found where you can share your thoughts, suggestions or concerns.

We’re incredibly excited to move to a snapshot voting model post-mint for Cursed DAO. We’re also looking to see what proposals and suggestions the community raises as we venture out onto the high seas!
