Gather around gamers! It’s time to celebrate a momentous occasion — the second year anniversary of the MetaGaming Guild (MGG)!

Over the past two years, our remarkable gaming community has not only survived but thrived, bringing together web3 and GameFi enthusiasts from around the world.

On this blog, let’s dive into the journey, achievements, and the bright future that lies ahead for the MetaGaming Guild (MGG).

A Community of Tactical Gamers

Founded in September 2021, MetaGaming Guild (MGG) embarked on a mission to create an inclusive and vibrant gaming community.

Looking back, it’s clear that we did not only tick off our goals but more so expanded our ecosystem to keep up with the changing times.

Year One: Laying the Foundation

The inaugural year was all about building the pillars of this extraordinary guild. Raised $5M funding, networked with global VCs and partners, launched our utility token $MGG, on-boarded thousands of scholars through our scholarship program, hosted our first meetup event in Bicol, organized a massive Battle of the Guilds tournament, and established a welcoming environment for gamers of all types.

It was also during this year that we embarked on an ambitious project: the development of our flagship NFT game, the MetaSaga Warriors.

MetaGaming Guild endeavored to strengthen its ecosystem by launching an incredible mix of GameFi features:

Year Two: The Ascension

Year two saw MetaGaming Guild truly hit its stride. Here are some highlights:

1.Global GameFi Recognitions: A total of 42 nominees and MetaGaming Guild made it to the Top 5. Being voted one of the Top 5 Best Blockchain Gaming Guilds in 2022 organized by Play-to-Earn is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the guild’s dedication and excellence in the world of blockchain gaming.

Our flagship game MetaSaga Warriors is also slowly making its name in the global space. We were proudly chosen as a FINALIST in the Pitching Competition at the Tech Investment Show 2023 held at Bangkok Thailand. We hit another milestone when MetaSaga Warriors was also chosen one of the emerging “Indie Game Stars” exhibitors at the Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX) 2023 held at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines.

2. Strategic Partnerships: Building relationships with web3 gaming projects, MetaGaming Guild secured exclusive access to beta tests, game releases, and other exciting opportunities for its members.

3. Token Trading and Listings: The guild’s second year saw an intensified token trading on six exchanges: Huobi, Gate.io, MEXC, PancakeSwap, Uniswap and SpookySwap.

4. Robust Community Engagement: Beyond gaming, MetaGaming Guild fostered meaningful connections among its members both online and IRL events.

5. Spectacular IRL Events: Throughout year two, we organized, co-sponsored and went to lots of IRL events, met a ton of GameFi enthusiasts and generated a great traction for our flagship game MetaSaga Warriors.

6. Charitable Endeavors: Gaming with purpose! The guild devoted time to charity streams and fundraising events, proving that gamers can make a real-world impact.

Looking Ahead

With two years of history, MetaGaming Guild is only getting started. Our future plans reflect our ambition and dedication:

1. Expanding Scholarship Program: Expect the guild to on-board more gaming scholars, explore new gaming genres and platforms, offer GameFi training and skills development and motivational talks to our guild members.

2. Sustainable Gaming with Play-and-Earn Gaming model: Our flagship game MetaSaga Warriors is ideally a free-to-own NFT game which allows players to be hooked in the game without spending. As the game develops, its earning mechanism will be integrated in the last quarter of 2024 to ultimately benefit its gaming community.
