Hello, and welcome back to our series of regular tech update posts, keeping you apprised of the latest developments at Shyft. As we gear up to publicly launching code be it for Byfrost, our bridging technology, and later on Alphanet, we’d say that the last month has seen us clear some important hurdles, but there’s definitely plenty of work to be done!

Here are some of the highlights.

  • Our smart contract code was submitted to QuantStamp for review. Quantstamp is a Y Combinator-backed blockchain security company with a mission to secure and drive the mainstream adoption of smart contracts. We will be implementing any recommendations they come back with this month.
  • We will be spending some time optimizing our chain synchronization for Byfrost to ensure that the process of adding new chains to the network is as speedy and cost-effective as possible.
  • The Shyft Portal, about which we’ll have much more to say in the near future, is looking on-track for a beta release sometime this spring, with whitelisting/registration opening shortly.
  • Our devs are also working through anti-censorship implementations, for the Network, ensuring that the Network’s features don’t compromise the tamper resistance advantages offered by the blockchain.
  • You may have noticed some changes over at our website! Our design team has been working to give the whole shebang a complete overhaul. You might also notice a new page devoted to Byfrost, which is what we’re now officially calling Shyft’s bridging technology. We are currently prepping Byfrost for launch as the first component of the network that will have external users interacting with. We’re stoked!

Finally, members of our team attended last week’s Fintech and Finance Conference and spoke on the future of digital assets, tokens, and the new economy. We’ll be sharing more about the event in a post tomorrow.
