Why do it:

Taking a break from devices is proven to have positive benefits for families, including better academic performance and nutrition for kids and more in-person conversation with the whole family. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) confirms that media use affects children’s development in critical ways. If overused, media time can take the place of other essential activities, such as socializing, studying, and sleeping.
