Everybody sells

in business as in life

“To sell is human” says Dan Pink in his book by the same name

And we all do it on a daily basis. Whether we search for a job, apply with a resume online or generate new customers as an entrepreneur for your startup, we’re all doing sales.

Nothing happens until a sale is made. The way sales happen as recently portrayed in “The wolf of Wall-Street” is over the phone in most situations

You call someone trying to sell your product or service but this is where things get tough. Half the calls don’t get answered on the first attempt.

It usually takes four to five calls to get someone to listen what we are selling. Another follow-up call is needed after having that first meeting

In real life chances are you will call once or twice and then drop that sale. But sales take 8 to 12 calls on average.

So by making this small and subtle change in your sales strategy , you could see your business soar through the roof.

Make those first calls and stop forgetting to follow-up to drive more sales !
