Mail Drop is a features exclusive to the classic Mail app users, irrespective of their mail provider.

This offers you free 1TB of Apple’s own storage for your mail attachments.

Whenever you try to mail a large attachment, instead of delivering it directly, Mail Drop uploads it to Apple servers and only sends the download link to the recipient, thereby avoiding using up your mail provider’s free tier (like 5GB for Gmail).
