The words, “beauty is skin deep”, are a four-word sentence, written by Sir Thomas Overbury in his poem “A Wife” in 1613.
Beauty has been given many standards in our technology world. Some like it thin, some like it skinny (are they similar?), some like it plump, some like it fat.

Why do we name beauty such?

We give beauty a grading system like in school or graduation. But does it need standards?
We also say love is limitless, but standards of external beauty make it limited.
Beauty and love should go hand in hand. Both need no judgment, no standards.
When one looks in the mirror, one is beautiful.

Say whatever self-judgment you feel.
Be beautiful the way you are. It matters most.
When your loved ones compare, they have made up standards.
Does that make them bad? No. One should never think they are bad because they compare. They could be the best in other ways. Make that count.
Beauty is skin deep, it is very true. We have been adapting a lot of traits from our environment. Due to this, we find we are becoming different in our behavior or mannerisms in some months or years down the lane. Let’s say, there are many personality traits in each one of us.

By making a nice sketch of our inner strengths, traits, behavior, mannerisms and tones, inner voices, approach to life situations, we have a lot inside us to explore.

Why do we push all these down because of someone’s definition of our external appearance?
Our Schools, colleges, workplaces need to be given a simple course on ‘personality etiquette.”
Once we start this lesson, we do not need to house, fear, worry, jealousy, or anxiety about losing someone, just because they define beauty their own way. Let’s try to find a middle ground.
Beauty is definitely skin deep.
