During Japan Fintech Week, Nikkei’s FIN/SUM held its annual startup pitc contest, which brought out four winners.

Grand Prize: Toggle

Toggle natural language inquiry example

TOGGLE is a financial information service that utilizes generative AI to ​​not only predict stock price trends, but also automatically create graphs that compare the price movements of multiple stocks.

SMBC Award: Lecto

Lecto is a Fintech company that develops “Collection Tech”. Lecto improves the troublesome back-end operations of financial services and retail subscription services, as well as complex and individualized work flows, and solves issues for receivables management (customer management) and collection to off-balance sheet management all at once.

Mitsubishi Estate Award: Bloomo Securities

Bloomo, a startup developing an asset building app focusing on US stocks/ETFs that had raised a JPY 800m seed round in April 2023, and announced that it has completed the registration as a Type 1 Financial Instruments Business Operator (FIBO) in June 2023, has launched its beta version of the app in February 2024.

Special Jury Award: Fivot

Fivot aims to be a challenger bank that generates the funds needed by society through their corporate lending business “Flex Capital” and the personal savings app “IDARE”, and contributes to economic development.
