To Show You How Much I Appreciate You Letting Me Stay At Your Home, I Kind Of Made The Bed
It was so awesome to see you guys! It’s been like forever. I really appreciate the both of you opening up your home to me on such short notice. It shouldn’t take a work conference in your city for me to come and see you two, but unfortunately it did. Shameful, I know! You were just such excellent hosts. Between the delicious meals, the ample guest towels, and the incredibly comfortable queen sized bed, staying at your home truly felt like being at a 5-Star hotel. Both of you went above and beyond to make me feel at home and hey… between the three of us, you helped save me a little cash as well. So to show you how thankful I am for everything, I very quickly and very poorly made the bed before I left.
I gotta say, haphazardly making the bed just felt like the right thing to do, you know? After all the laughs we’d shared and wine of yours we drank (the Domaine Leroy was excellent by the way), it only seemed fair that before you drive me to the airport for my 4 AM flight, I do a very bad job of making the bed that I slept in for free all week. I know people as caring and hospitable as you two surely understand my fervent desire to do something nice before I left. And what better way to say thanks than to really half-ass making the bed?
