How do we help to solve the $6 trillion cybersecurity cost issue?

According to Cybersecurity Ventures, cybercrime will cost the world $6 trillion annually by 2021, a huge increase from the $3 trillion in 2015. Cyberattacks are the fastest growing crime in the U.S., and they are increasing in size, sophistication and cost.

There are two ways in which we will improve the situation:

1. By employing blockchain solutions to empower the community to help each other.
2. By lowering antimalware protection costs to 1$ per fix.

Our blockchain based model will allow the cyber-security community to help regular people in a more convenient way. First, we’ll share step-by-step guidelines on how to spot and identify malware, and to help obtain knowledge required for this field.

Second, this contribution will be rewarded. People will be able to become a Researcher — a person who provides malware samples, or a Malware Analyst — a person who analyses the samples and provides the user with a solution for the malware removal. Researchers will get 30% of the fee the User is paying for the malware removal, and Analysts will get 60% of the fee. In this case, 90% all computer fix fees will go back to the community.

At the same time, we’ll be able to lower antimalware protection costs to 1$ per fix. The majority of cybercrimes are carried out in countries like Brazil, India or Thailand, where people cannot afford expensive antimalware software, which can cost up to $30 on average. We’ll switch the SaaS business model to the On-Demand model, meaning that people within our network will pay only for a computer fix, rather than software.

We have observed that a lot of our 1 million antimalware users don’t get more than 5 malware threats per year. One malware threat removal within our network will cost as low as 1$. So why pay $30 if you can have the same protection for $5? It’s 6 times cheaper!

This will allow to have more widespread malware protection in emerging markets and will decrease the Global cybercrime level. We see this as natural cybersecurity evolution that occurs in order to help solve the $6 trillion cybersecurity cost issue.
