This document will introduce the GENUINE badge that is available for WarpLight Accounts, its eligibility requirements, and procedure for obtaining the GENUINE badge.

Introduction to the GENUINE badge
On WarpLight platforms and services, the GENUINE badge is designed to confirm the authenticity of eligible WarpLight Accounts, which helps reduce incidents related to impersonation. It also assures other users on WarpLight platforms and services by informing them that the person behind the associated WarpLight Account is who they say they are.
On other platforms, some individuals may have the opportunity to secure and confirm their presence on that platform and receive special identification, helping to confirm their online presence as authentic. The GENUINE badge works the same way, and is currently available on Atmos by WarpLight.
Terms and conditions
We may automatically apply the GENUINE badge to a WarpLight Account if the eligibility requirements are met and if we are able to confirm the WarpLight Account owner’s authenticity without prior requests for the GENUINE badge, and we may automatically remove the GENUINE badge if the eligibility requirements are no longer satisfied.
Additionally, at any time, with or without notice and at our sole discretion following human review, WarpLight may manually remove the GENUINE badge from a WarpLight Account or choose to temporarily or permanently blacklist a WarpLight Account to prevent it from receiving the GENUINE badge, even if the eligibility requirements are met.
We will only remove the GENUINE badge if it is absolutely necessary. For example, as written in the WarpLight Terms of Service, we will remove the GENUINE badge after two WarpLight Account violations, or blacklist a WarpLight Account’s associated email address for one year if three violations are received, preventing any WarpLight Accounts associated with the blacklisted email address from receiving the GENUINE badge. This approach helps protect the image and high value that is associated with the GENUINE badge.
Additionally, we reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, effective upon posting an updated version of this policy, which may cause a WarpLight Account’s GENUINE badge to be revoked if it no longer meets the eligibility requirements. Depending on the significance of eligibility requirement revisions, we will attempt to communicate any changes publicly before they go into effect.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to receive the GENUINE badge, two eligibility sections must be met at all times, which also have their own requirements in order for that section to be considered satisfied: On-platform requirements, and Social requirements.
On-platform requirements are limited to the Atmos platform, while Social requirements include both the Atmos platform and the following platforms:
- Bluesky
- cohost
- Facebook*
- Instagram*
- Mastodon
- Patreon
- Snapchat
- Threads*
- Tumblr
- Twitch (Affiliate or Partner only)*
- X
- YouTube*
Other platforms marked with an asterisk (*) support verification natively on their platforms, and we will consider the Social requirements section as satisfied as long as you have a verified account on any of the supported platforms that is marked with an asterisk. Depending on the platform, we may request additional documentation to confirm your verification status on eligible platforms.
All On-platform requirements will need to be met simultaneously in order for that section to be considered satisfied. If only one of the two sections are satisfied, or if both sections are not satisfied, GENUINE badge requests will not be accepted.
On-platform requirements
- Verified email address, after WarpLight Account registration
- Create at least 5 posts per month
- Maintain at least 25 followers
Social requirements
- A high-quality profile avatar and banner (where supported)
- A consistent or near-identical username or display name across platforms
- Populated profile biography or about section
- Have a reasonable amount of account activity within the last 30 days on other platforms based on your follower count
- Maintain at least 500 followers on other platforms
Request a GENUINE badge
To request a GENUINE badge for your eligible WarpLight Account, you must contact WarpLight directly using an account that satisfies either one of the eligibility sections. For example, you can contact us directly via X direct messaging regarding your badge request if your X profile meets all of the social requirements, but if another account that does not meet all of the social requirements attempts to contact us regarding a badge request, we will not be able to complete the request due to impersonation protection.
