If we want to improve our culture, people need to feel like they are included and participating. They are making the choices. They will have new habits. And they will be the change. We can help each other by measuring success.

  1. Turning Goals Into Action — We’ve discovered the part of culture we’re passionate about (https://medium.com/p/798f3bf8f1e9). Now, we need to break it down into tasks to reach that goal. EXAMPLE: You and two friends want to let your community know about self-care resources. You’ve determined personally reaching out to 5,000 people this year through flyers, mail, and social media would make a big difference. So, your goal is three people reaching out to 5 different community members per day.
  2. Track It — Find a way to collect the information you need to know you’re successful. EXAMPLE: You want 5,000 different community members to receive self-care information. It’s decided that you can collect their names and contact information during the process. To avoid duplication, you create a share Google Sheets (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets) file for tracking.
  3. Deadline — Set a reasonable amount of time for completing your task. Research how long it has taken others to complete the same or similar goals. If you’re too ambitious, people will burnout and quit because they are falling behind. Too relaxed…
