Grab + BIRC = ?

UBER has built a completely new form of urban transportation since being established almost 10 years ago. Through its application, UBER matches people who want to be driven somewhere with people who own cars and want to earn money by being part-time drivers. It meets the transportation needs of urban people through a sharing economy. UBER was a great success soon after its release, however it has caused more and more disputes and faced more challenges after its global expansion.

Based on the services of UBER, Grab has developed more localized functions aimed at specific situations in Southeast Asia, for instance cash payment, more vehicle types, and GrabPay. Grab has an excellent performance record in Southeast Asia. Apart from transportation services, Grab also develops digital financial services. Due to the excellent performance of Grab, and the potential for collaboration, BIRC is developing plans to work with Grab.
